Moving Your PDF2XL License to a New Computer
When it's time to replace your computer it, regrettably, also means reinstalling all your most important applications, like PDF2XL.
While a PDF2XL license can only be installed on one computer, you certainly are not expected to purchase a new license when you need to reinstall.
If you still have your original Purchase Email or your license information and download link saved somewhere, you can use that same information for your reinstallation. If you don't have it anymore, you can contact support@cogniview.com for your license details. We will need a way to locate the license, so try to provide as much of the following information as possible:
- Payment Code
- Email Address registered to the account
- Name of person registered to the account
- Invoice Number
- Date of purchase
- Product (be specific if you can - for example, PDF2XL OCR version 6.5)
- Purchase Order Number (if applicable)
*Note: If you're using a version lower than 5.0, you will have to contact support@cogniview.com and ask for your license to be reset.
Method:
- Before you install on the new computer, remove the software from your old computer. This will free up the license in our system so that it can be activated on the new computer.
- If you are unable to uninstall the software (which can happen if your computer crashes and you're unable to access it), you can manually reset the license if you have a web account. If you don't have a web account, you can contact support@cogniview.com and ask for the license to be reset.
- Download and install the software on your new computer with the link provided either in your Purchase Email or by a CogniView Support agent.
- Use your original Payment Code and Email Address to activate your software.
